The 2027 theme: The Next Monaco Classic
Create a classic. Leave a legacy.
The great cocktails were born from a bartender daring to offer something new. Contestants imagine the next great classic of Monaco mixology: an original cocktail with a strong identity, perfectly balanced, with a story that reflects Monaco’s elegance, and simple enough for other bartenders to make their own.
Don’t try to create the most spectacular cocktail. Create the one that will still be remembered in 30 years.
A four-phase format
- Phase 1 – Application round
Each contestant submits the technical sheet of their signature cocktail. The 10 best entries are selected. - Phase 2 – Partner product draw
Each finalist is assigned a partner brand’s product by draw and creates their recipe with it. - Phase 3 – Round 1: the Top 10
The 10 finalists present their creation on stage before the jury. The top 3 go through to the super-final. - Phase 4 – “Mystery Basket” super-final
The 3 finalists have 30 minutes to create a cocktail from a premium spirit and a mystery basket.
Glassware and ice are provided by the organisation. Each contestant brings their own bar tools.
